James’ main responsibilities include sourcing sustainable fabrics, mainly from Mainland China, and ESG/Circular Economy education and awareness raising for portfolio brands; he also helps young local sustainable apparel brands in Hong Kong, to build and brand themselves better for sustained growth.

He regularly mentors young early-stage founders, some of whom are focused on clean technology or circular economies.

Areas of focus include ideation for product development, crafting and refining brand and founder stories and narratives in general, but also specific to non-ESG audiences, product-market fit and commercialization, business model innovations, and aspects related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #17- Partnerships for the Goals.

His additional interests include innovation within social impact, smart cities, male allyship, youth mentorship and empowerment, and innovation and tech in general.

James obtained his BSc in Liberal Arts, focusing on the Arts, from Skidmore College in New York, USA, and his M.A. in International Affairs from Peking University in Beijing, China.
